Statement of Supporters of "Laleh Park Mothers" for the World Day Against the Death Penalty

The first World Day Against the Death Penalty was announced for the first time in 2003, at the European Unions' first meeting against the death penalty.
Iran is one of the countries that death penalty is practiced in horrible ways in public.
The Islamic republic ranks second in executing children, ethnic minorities, dissidents and religious and sexual minorities.
We, Supporters of the the "Laleh Park Mothers" believe death penalty to be an organized murder and are against any type of execution including stoning and ghesas and want the death penalty to be abolished.

We, Supporters of the the Mothers of Laleh Park, are supporting those mothers whose children have been murdered, kidnapped or injured within the last 33 years and or are in prisons. Those mothers whose children in the 80s and specially in 88, even without any court ruling, were executed. Those mothers whose children were killed during and after the protests against the 2009 election, including mothers of Neda, Sohrab, Ashkan, Taraneh, masoud, Fatemeh and ....
Mothers whose children were executed solely for seeking justice, including Ehsan Fatahian, Fasih Yasmati, Farzad Kamangar, Ali Heydarian, Farhad Vakili, Shirin Alam Hooli, Hosein Khezri, Zahra Bahrsami, Haj Aghaie, Farhad Taram, Hekmat Damir, Kiomars Mohamadi, Arash Rahmani, Jaafar Kazemi, Ali Sarami, Ali-Akbar Siadat and many more. To protest the death penalty and to reveal to the world the atrocities happening in Iran and in solidarity with all the mournful mothers, we gather at a vigil on Saturday, October the 8th in different cities and demand:

- Abolishment of the death penalty
- Freedom of all political-consciences prisoners
- Open trials of those who ordered and carried out the crimes of the past 33 years
We gather to protest the sentences of execution for Zeinab Jalalian, Habib-Alah Latifi, Habib-Alah Golpari Pour, Rashid Aghkandi, Shirkoo Moarefi, Mostafa Salimi, Anvar Rostami, Seyed Jamal Mohamadi, Seyed Sami Hoseini, Aziz Mohamad Zadeh, Abdolah Sarvarian, Zaniar Moradi, Loghman Moradi, Keshis Nadr Khani and all other unknown prisoners.
